Dumb question, I’m sure, but do I need to temporarily relocate my hive into a separate set of boxes while I paint the outside, or can I paint the outside with them in it? My girls are very special to me and my daughter, and I don’t want to cause them harm esp. since they overwintered well (first year at this so I feel blessed they made it) and are already pulling in pollen. Amazing! Thanks for answering my question. I love the bee art here. Fantastic imaginations and executions of paint jobs!

And here I thought designs on my hives were unique. These are fabulous pieces of art!
I always got raised eyebrows from my decor in my hives.
I’m from Texas, so I have a Texas Longhorns hive. I’ve also made an Alcatraz hive and a Harley Davidson hive.
It started years ago with bird houses everyone uniquely done with what ever come to mind.
Too bad there is not a place to post other people’s beehive art work. Keep up the good work and painting!
