Check with your state conservation or natural resource department. In Missouri they sell native seedlings, a lot of which are listed in this article.

I’m about to start with bees this Spring on our land that was recently hit by Oklahoma wildfires. We have few trees alive. Many that are dead. Will bees just travel to where there are trees to get what they need?

In reply to Sandy Conners. Hi Sandy, the standard list for most of the country is: Maples, Alders, Redbud, Hazels, Tulip poplar,Tupelo, Black locust, Willows, Basswood/linden. Some native trees to Kentucky include Sourwood, Tulip Poplar, and Red Maple! Happy planting!
