I have found bodies of my girls in front of their hives missing the abdomen [very rich in protein].
They resemble in that behavior the Asian wasp that attacks European hives without mercy. And it is not too surprising if some of these wasps are somewhat cousin of this dangerous insect. Are there some other insects that have a similar breeding behavior?
