Hi was stung on my nose twice and only saw 1 sting took 2 zerox tablets ans some soov on the sting then when to bed was having trouble breathing through my nose

Been stung 3x so far this year but it’s only my first year keeping. It is worth it! My reactions last a few days. The itchiness is the worst! Lol

My husband and I are planning to keep bees, starting this spring. Thanks for the pespective. Although my Grandpa had “tame bees”, I never helped with them, so I’m a little uneasy about having the bees around the farm all the time. I’ll take a deep breath….

So I’ve never been stung. But I am terrified because I an allergic to wasps. I bought a house that had hives abd equipment just left so I am trying to work with the one hive that was alive. Bought a suit and smoker. I am going to give it a try!

I kept a hive when I lived in Wyoming and don’t recall many stings. I would take the boys out to check the hive in t-shirt and shorts.
Last year I started a new hive in New Mexico and everything was great until fall. They became more aggressive as fall started and I was stung a couple of times. Time to be a little more careful!

WARNING! To new Beeks:
If you keep bees you will get stung! And when you get stung it will be painful. I have been stung at least twenty times this year and a few times while wearing protective equipment. Oh well, it is worth it!
