Only comment I have is leaving rotting fruit lie especially if near hives. Yellow jackets are THE ENEMY even though in the big picture I suppose they serve a purpose and not only are they seriously all over fallen apples, they are actively chewing into those that are ripe and still hanging. we are well into nectar dearth and are leaving everything in bloom we can our bees are actively avoiding areas that the yellow jackets are more than aggressively after. Even our substantial sized in full bloom ivy is being inundated with the largest gathering of yellow jackets I have seen in many years.

To answer your question, yes, many people used the bee’s venom to treat arthritis, it’s actually called apitherapy: https://www.healthline.com/health/apitherapy

I actually went to a class at my local garden center, where I met the lady that taught that class. She actually demonstrated how to use the bees’ venom on a lady that was having some sort of issues (can’t remember exactly what she had). I even bought her book. They have a website, but I didn’t see much information about the classes. She lives in North Carolina. Just in case you want to contact her, her website is http://www.BEeHealing.buzz

Best of luck.

I don’t have bees but hope to someday. They are so fascinating that I think I could spend hours with them. Also I have arthritis very bad, twisted fingers and all. People have told me it helps arthritis by getting stung by bees on a regular basis. Is there any truth in that? Thanks again Howard
